Why Nitric Oxide (NO)
Needs Innovation
Nitric Oxide is the master signaling molecule of the cardiovascular system. It is essential for relaxing blood vessels, regulating healthy blood pressure, and delivering oxygen to every cell in your body. As the foundation of vitality, NO is naturally produced less and less as we age; it’s production is not adequate.
Decline In NO Production
Clinical research confirms a precipitous drop in Nitric Oxide availability as we age. As illustrated here, the body’s natural production remains stable in youth but enters a critical ‘Danger Zone’ around age 40. Age Related Decline
As we age, our body begins to naturally decline due to a build up of oxidative stress, lifestyle choices, and genetics. The NOS enzyme’s ability to produce NO sharply declines even though our body naturally produces enough Arginine for conversion to NO without a need for supplementation.
Secondary NO Production
Even this secondary pathway is not a guaranteed fix. It is strictly dependent on specific reductase enzymes and a healthy oral microbiome to convert dietary nitrates into Nitric Oxide.
